Bonnie P, Sally H, and Lois H (pictured here) were joined by Dana W, Maurine B, and Maggie H in spreading the word of ‘No Plastic’ at the Iowa City Farmers Market on July 11, 2026. They handed out Bees Wax alternatives which can be used to wrap food, decreasing single-use plastic. Sarah Garner of Climate Action – Iowa City attended the June 100Grannies membership meeting and kindly supplied the Bees Wax alternatives which come in three sizes and showed Grannies how to easily use them.
