Meeting Notes, Dec 1, 2015
On December 1 we held a combined Nov. and Dec. meeting–at Trinity at 320 E. College St. from 5:30 to 8:00.
We enjoyed a Stone Soup Supper and a program by Donna Rupp on the last wild animals of Africa.
Thanks to the Steering Committee for setting up; and to everyone who stayed to help clean up afterward. Everyone brought a cup or so of chopped vegetables in bite size pieces to put into the soup pot and one of the following: cheese, bread, fruit, or dessert. Thanks to Barbara, who brought wine. We had hot water for tea.
Also on our agenda for the evening was a report from the Community Rights task force on the symposium by Paul Cienfueglos and a report from the 11 women who testified at the IUB hearing on the Bakken pipeline.
We also talked about the United Nations Summit being held in Paris Nov. 29-Dec. 11 and local efforts to call it to the public’s attention–specifically Linda Q and Miriam’s banners. Photos.
In January we return to our regular schedule to meet at Trinity at 320 E. College St. from 5:30 to 7:00 on the 4th Tuesday. That will be January 26, 2016.
